Data / Analytics Engineer @ Amazon

I build and own the data pipelines, trusted data products, and metric systems leadership makes decisions on — end to end, from raw source to reconciled dataset to the dashboard on top. I care about doing it responsibly with sensitive data: least-privilege access, row/column-level controls, and lineage tracking.

I've spent 5+ years at Amazon in supply-chain data & analytics engineering, working right where analytics meets data engineering: dimensional modeling and grain design, idempotent partitioned loads that backfill safely, cross-source reconciliation and data-integrity fixes, and orchestration on AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda).

Lately I've gone deeper on the modern analytics-engineering stack — dbt, Airflow, and tested, CI-backed Python pipelines — most recently on aurentum-analytics, an end-to-end pipeline over real mutual-fund data.
I focus on building the data foundation, not just reporting on it.

Trina was one of the most dedicated Data Science students that I have had in my class. She was always present, drove good analytical conversations and insights, as well as collaboration with my self and fellow classmates. Her work was excellent, well thought through and detailed. Great communication skills both written and verbal. I would highly recommend Trina for a analytical position, especially involving data! Thank you.

I taught Trina during her first weeks and months as a Masters student in the United States. From the beginning, she was watching and listening, undaunted by all of the newness that surrounded her. But quite quickly, she found her voice, her rhythm, and what she wanted to be her added value. She is not an aggressive, arrogant person, but Trina's value is the power of an organized, deliberate, careful, and reflexive approach. She is more than the skills listed on her resume; she is an asset for her entire approach to work and commitment to the organization she is serving. I am happy to recommend her!

Professional Experience

Data / Analytics Engineer — Amazon

Feb 2021 - Present

Amazon, Seattle, WA

  • Build and own production data products end to end on a large data lake — hardening fragile pipelines into documented, infrastructure-as-code ones, then productionizing them with idempotent, incrementally-loaded models that backfill safely and reconcile to source.
  • Rebuild reporting and metric pipelines at the right grain (SQL → scheduled ETL → dashboards), root-causing data-integrity issues and tuning transforms for significant performance gains.
  • Lead an effort to standardize how teams build and ship data products — consolidating bespoke pipelines into reusable, CI/CD-delivered datasets, with tooling (including an MCP server) that connects engineers' AI/IDE agents directly to the warehouse.
  • Build metadata-driven ingestion pipelines on AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda) that automate dashboard and dataset delivery and remove substantial manual effort.
  • Apply a governance-first approach to sensitive data: least-privilege access, access controls, and data-integrity checks.
  • Tools & technologies: SQL, Python, Amazon Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, AWS CDK; dbt, Airflow, DuckDB (personal projects).

Business Data Analyst
